Neonila Lemzyakova was born on 16th of May 1941 in the town of Budyonovsk in Stavropol Region. After a high school graduation she started working at a textile factory and entered a sewing department at a technical college. Then she worked in Riga at “Electra” fur factory. In 1964 she continued her education at Applied Arts College in Kosiv. From 1968 to 2003 Neonila worked at an USSR Art Union Fund as a professional artist in applied arts. In 1977 she became a member of the USSR Artists Union. She has actively participated in republican, national and international exhibitions with her works in wood engraving technique and paintings on wood. Plenty of her works are now in private collections in the USA, Canada, France, Australia, Germany, Romania, Poland, Russia and also in art museums of Ukraine and NIS.
At the “Ivano-Frankivsk region artists’ exhibition” in 2002 in Kiev she had exposed 3 works in a new technique – satin stitch embroidery. She works only in this technique since. Neonila makes copies of famous artists’ paintings (by Shagal, Leger, Picasso, Klimt, Manet) and also embroiders flower compositions.
